Construction Project Manager
 
We are looking for an experienced construction project manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of our Eightfold Mountain Village development in the mountains. This will be an exciting opportunity to be part of a revolutionary development that focuses on health and wellness.
Position Overview:
As the construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall construction process, from the initial planning stage to the final delivery of the project. You will work closely with the design and engineering team to ensure that the project meets our goals and timelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for for managing a team of contractors and/or subcontractors to ensure that all work is completed to our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinate with design and engineering team to ensure that the project meets our goals.
  • Manage construction processes, including procurement of materials, hiring and managing contractors and subs, and overseeing construction activities.
  • Ensure construction activities are completed on time and budget.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in construction project management.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources.

Lodge Manager

Beaverfoot Lodge – BC.

The Primary Responsibilities of This Position are Anticipated to Include Assist the General Manager in all Aspects of the Operation

  • Care for 5 cabins and a lodge.
  • Function with a service mindset, as a helpful “people pleaser”.
  • Captain the culture as a natural leader; operate with integrity, sound judgment, and strong values.
  • Preserve our assets by being hands on, resourceful, and action oriented.
  • Maintain par stock of supplies including cleaning items, linens, uniforms, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Be responsible, detailed, tech savvy, local ambassador, entrepreneurial.
  • Be the master of running the day-to-day operations and the point person building and maintaining a strong and reliable team.

Provide a Superior Guest Experience

  • Provide excellent customer service by monitoring the guest ticket system to ensure tickets are answered in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the deep cleaning process when necessary. This includes disinfecting high touch surfaces, making beds, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen areas, vacuuming, mopping, etc.
  • Ensuring every cabin is perfectly staged for every guest including cleaning and staging interior of cabin (bathroom, kitchen, dining, and bed areas), cleaning and staging exterior of cabin (picnic table and firepit areas), doing laundry, arranging welcome items, and provisions, etc
  • Auditing the ongoing work of the team by performing spot checks, providing feedback and coaching.
  • Create and execute ideas to surprise and delight guests; be positive and people focused.
  • Analyze guest feedback and create a plan to resolve recurring issues.

Assist in Overseeing the Housekeeping & Maintenance Teams

  • Serve as first point of contact and manager on duty for the team whenever on shift.
  • Inspire our team as a natural, energetic leader.
  • Assist in team-focused recruitment, on-boarding, and training as required.
  • Updating training materials as necessary and constantly seeking process improvements.
  • Driving daily initiatives like deep stagings, preventative maintenance, staging assignments, and glitch resolutions.
  • Perform inspections on cleaned cabins to ensure the high standards of cleanliness are being met; provide feedback to cabin keepers.
  • Occasionally traveling to newly opening Outposts and leading training efforts in this market.
  • Ensure all team members are adhering to standard operating procedures and company values.

Assist in Managing Budgets & Meeting Key Performance Indicator Targets

  • Help control our costs by operating with a self-motivated and competitive nature.
  • Helping manage departmental budget by pushing projects forward within the scope of work.
  • Help manage labor, operating supply, and maintenance budgets on a monthly basis.
  • Help drive KPIs such as less than 1% of bookings with a cleanliness issue, a minimum of 90% score on a secret shopper report, adhering to a specific threshold of labor, etc.

Requirements

  • Management experience (2+ years).
  • Experience directly overseeing a physical, tangible product (5+ years).
  • Experience in guest or customer-facing industry (5+ years).
  • Previous ownership of metrics, KPIs, financial or otherwise (2+ years).
  • Must be 18 years of age, or older.
  • All candidates must complete a background check.
  • Experience doing physical labor; must be willing and able to lift, bend, and carry up to 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Experience utilizing technology and apps to work more efficiently.
  • Love of the outdoors; must be willing and able to work outside during all seasonal weather conditions.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Naturally friendly and hospitable.
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Have strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
